When you download a skin you need to unzip it into the xbmc skins directory; which is C:\Program Files\XBMC\skin\ if you used the default installation directory.

You then open up xbmc and goto Settings -> Appearance and you'll see your skin popup.

I am impressed with the AEON skin in the review. I have XBMC for windows, and wanted to change the skins. How do you add skins or download skins and import them into your XBMC folder? I tried downloading a skin pack from one of the developer websites but it did not automatically integrate into the XBMC program. Any suggestions on how I can use the AEON skin? Thx
